Multiplication
4-3Multiplying Monomials
Overview
Multiply coefficients, then multiply variables by adding exponents.
Key ideas
- (ax^m)(bx^n) = ab · x^(m+n).
- Apply to each variable separately.
- Negative coefficients follow sign rules.
